How do we even begin to talk about a matter as grim, as serious and as fearful as this? In these days when most have abandoned the preaching of the Cross and have embraced a modern, convenient, worldly and clueless ‘gospel’, how do we point preachers, leaders in the body of Christ and bearers of divine oracles, again to the inevitability of eternity? How can we discuss eternity in a short space of the concept called time?
It is clear that the only way to do it is to yield to the lordship and leadership of the Holy Spirit, as He is instructing us to assemble His servants and allow Him talk to them, such that nothing will be left unsaid and we will all be edified and refreshed together, by His grace…
The Bible says: “For we must all appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motive have been, and what he has achieved, been busy with, and given himself and his attention to accomplishing].”2Cor.5:10 Amplified Bible Classic Edition
A day is coming…a day for which all other days are made, a day in which every other day will be judged…a day when, as ministers, departmental heads and leaders in the body of Christ, we are going to be individually judged and held responsible for our actions [or inactions], purposes, goals and motives, we will be judged for the use or misuse of our time, opportunities and abilities.
Why the Lord is calling this two weeks ministers’ training is so that we can put that great day in perspective. He would want us to examine closely, how to labour, such that at the end of the day, when our work on earth is done, or when the Lord comes to take home His church, we may hear the Lord Jesus say to us on that day, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”Matt.25:21 KJV
Therefore, brethren, are you a pastor over a flock? Are you a departmental leader? Are you a deacon, an elder or a minister in the Body of Christ? It is our prayer and hope that you will make out time for this training, as we, your servants in the Lord, prepare to unveil His burden for this season, that will ensure our success and prosperity in His work and according to His will for our lives.
May we serve Him according to His pattern in Jesus name. May we not run in another’s track and may we never be silenced by the different wiles of the enemy until we proclaim to this generation the glory, greatness and gospel of the Lord in the matchless name of Jesus Christ!
May the Lord find us all faithful and fruitful on that great day in Jesus name. [Amen].
